PA Toddler Wanders Streets While Mom Sleeps, Police Say

A mom was warm in her bed as her 2-year-old child wandered the streets of Marietta Borough, police announced on Monday, July 24, 2023.

Michelle Hunger's toddler was found in the 300 block of East Market Street around 9 a.m. on July 6, according to a release by the Susquehanna Regional Police Department.

The responding officer located the tot's mom asleep in her nearby home.

Hunger was arrested for endangering the welfare of a child, according to the police and court documents.

She remains in the Lancaster County Prison on $100,000 in bail, court records show.

Her preliminary has been set before Magisterial District Judge Randall L. Miller at 9 a.m. on July 25, according to her court docket.
